# Sending and Receiving DOT

### Add Polkadot Wallet in ONT ID Wallet

### Import and Export Polkadot Wallet

In ONTO, Polkadot wallet can be imported and exported using mnemonic phrase or Keystore.

### **Receive** DOT

Note: The first transaction that a new account (address) receive should be no less than **1 DOT**, otherwise the transaction will fail.

On "Assets" page, **left swipe** over DOT to open the asset receiving page.

Or on "Assets" page, tap on DOT and tap on "Got it" in the pop-up window.

Then tap on the "**Receive**" button to open the asset receiving page.

Select "**Copy**" to copy the address.

You can share the address and QR code as a picture to social media by tapping on "**Share**".

You can set up a specific amount to receive with the "**Fixed-amount transfer**" feature. When a sender uses ONTO to transfer with the QR code you share, the default amount will be the amount you have entered.

### **Send** DOT

Note: If the balance of an account (address) is less than 1 DOT, the account (address) will be killed and the balance will be changed to 0 DOT. Therefore please make sure the balance after the transaction is **no less than 1 DOT**.

On "Assets" page, **right swipe** over DOT to open the asset sending page.

Or on "Assets" page, tap on the name of the asset. Tap on the "**Send**" button to open the asset sending page.

Wait for the node connection status to be connected. If the status keeps showing "Connecting to the node...",  tap on "**Try Again**" to connect again.

After the node connect, enter the **address** and the **amount**, move the slider to set **tips** (optional), and tap on the **next button** to proceed. Input wallet password and then tap on the next button to complete the process.
