In most cases, the higher the gas fee, the faster the speed of transactions being confirmed on Ethereum blockchain. {% hint style="info" %} Reminder: If the gas fee is set too low, it might take a very long time for the transaction to be confirmed. # Sign Up to Run an Ontology Node in ONTO Wallet ### Prepare a staking wallet and an operation wallet To get started, you need to import or create a staking wallet and an operation wallet. The staking wallet stores the ONT required by the node to stake, while the operation wallet is used to start the node. Notes： * The operation wallet does not require ONT to operate. * The staking wallet cannot be the same as the operation wallet. * We recommend using a new wallet as the operation wallet. ### How to Register a new node？ 1. Tap on “Run a node in a few clicks” in the image carousel on ONTO’s homepage or tap on “Node Management” on ONT’s details page, tap on “Run a new node”, and then hit “Register Now”.
2. The default node staking wallet is your current wallet and you need to select the node operation wallet, which can be the public key obtained from the community node operation service, so you need to enter the password of the operation wallet to get its public key.
3. Fill in the ONT amount you would like to stake. Based on the current configuration of the Ontology network, the minimum amount required for a staking node is 10,000 ONT, which is refundable upon node exit. 4. Tap on “Confirm Node Information” and sign the transaction with the staking wallet. Please note that 500 ONG plus a small amount of gas fee will be charged for starting a candidate node. When the registered node’s staked amount is in the top 343 nodes, the node becomes a candidate node; when the registered node’s staked amount is in the top 15, the node becomes a consensus node. 5. Once the registration is successful, you may tap on “Edit Info” immediately or edit node info later.
### How to Add Node Stake Amount？ 1. Enter the “Node Management” page, select the node you registered, and tap on “Add Stake” 2. Enter the amount you want to add stake and tap on “Next” 3. Tap on “Confirm” and sign the transaction
## How to claim ONG rewards？ Enter the “Node Management” page, tap on the “Claim” button, and sign to claim ONG rewards. Notes: * If your staking is created and confirmed in the round 'T', then your staking will start to generate ONG rewards in the round 'T+1' and you can claim them in round 'T+2'.
### How to Reduce Node Stake Amount and Withdraw ONT？ 1. Enter the “Node Management” page, select the node you registered, and tap on “Reduce Stake” 2. Enter the amount you want to reduce stake and tap on “Next” 3. Tap on “Confirm” and sign the transaction
Notes: * Commitment Amount is locked and the stake cannot be reduced. The amount will become withdrawable upon node exit * The user stake amount should be capped at 10 times the node's initial stake * If you reduce stake in the round ‘T’, then (1) for candidate nodes, you will be able to withdraw ONT at the beginning of the round ‘T+1’. (2) for consensus nodes, you will be able to withdraw ONT at the beginning of the round ‘T+2’. 4. Click on the “Withdraw” button and sign to confirm on the “Node Management” page to withdraw ONT.
### Manage Your Node Info 1. Enter the “Node Management” page, select the node you registered, and you will see the basic node information and information about user stake and node stake 2. Tap on “Node Info” and you can upload your logo, edit the node name, enter the node’s website, region, and description, and set the visibility of the information. You can also provide the node’s Telegram channel, Twitter handle, public email, and email for communication with Ontology 3. Tap on “Save” and sign. The changes will be effective immediately
### Edit Fee Sharing Ratio Fee Sharing Ratio: There are two fee sharing ratios: one is the percentage of the transaction fees and released ONG yield from the node’s initial ONT stake distributed to the node; the other refers to the percentage of the transaction fees and released ONG yield from the ONT staked by users distributed to the node. 1. Tap on “Fee Sharing Ratio” and you will see the fee sharing ratios of the current round, the next round, and the next 2 rounds. Tap on “Edit Fee Sharing Ratio” to change the ratio of node stake revenue distributed to the node and the ratio of user stake revenue distributed to the node 2. Tap on “Save” and sign. The changes will be effective after 2 rounds
### Edit User Cap 1. Tap on “User Stake / Cap” and edit the “Allowed User Stake” 2. Tap on “Save” and sign. The changes will be effective immediately
Notes: * The max user stake amount should be capped at 10 times the node’s initial stake ### Quit Node 1. Select the node you registered on the “Node Management” page, tap on “More” in the upper right, and tap on “Quit Node” 2. Tap on “Confirm” on the pop-up window and sign. Once this is done, the status of the node will become “Exiting”
3. Your initial staked ONT will automatically be available for withdrawal in the next 1-2 rounds (2 rounds for consensus nodes and 1 round for candidate nodes).
Notes： * If you choose to quit the node, you cannot have withdrawable ONT remaining. * Once you have quit the node, if you want to run a node again, you will have to register a new one.

Users need to update ONTO to v3.7.0 or higher for this tutorial. *Reminder:* Operations such as swapping, adding/removing liquidity, staking, withdrawing, and transferring all require a gas fee of ETH. Please prepare in advance to avoid transaction failures. **1. Download ONTO Wallet** **Method 1:** Visit the official [website](https://www.onto.app/).\ **Method 2:** Android users can use this [link](https://app.ont.io/onto/onto.app/android/ONTO.apk) download directly from the browser. **2. When the page displays “Backup Successful”, the registration is complete. Those who have already registered an ONT ID elsewhere can use their mnemonic phrase to import their ONT ID into the ONTO wallet. **3. Add asset types on the asset page** This tutorial involves 4 asset types, including ETH, SLP, WING and pWING. Click the plus sign/check on the right side of the search result to add it. After the addition is successful, you can view the added asset type on the asset page. Convert WING to pWING** pWING is WING that has been transferred cross-chain from its native Ontology chain to the Ethereum chain. WING can be obtained by participating in Wing projects and transactions. Then, enter your password and click the arrow below. The exchange is successful after completion, and the gas fee is paid in WING. After the exchange is complete, you can check your WING and pWING balances on the Assets page. If you need to convert pWING to WING, you only need to reverse the transaction and pay a gas fee in ETH. **5. Please prepare in advance to avoid transaction failure.* *For the time being, the Inclusive Pool only supports supplying, borrowing, and insuring of pDAI, pUSDT, and pUSDC.* ***How to quickly get ONG to pay for handling charges on the Ontology blockchain?\**** > *On the “Assets” page, click ONT to enter the ONT details page, click the fast exchange icon in the upper right corner, input the ONT exchange quantity (up to 10 ONT per day) in the pop-up window, click the “Swap Now” button, and enter the password to complete the fast exchange.* ## 1. Generate Your OScore The OScore is a user self-management scoring system supported by ONTO which integrates all kinds of data from the blockchain. An OScore reflects the level of assets owned by users. The OScore score of users participating in the Inclusive Pool can affect the credit limit of users. The wallet will automatically calculate the on-chain asset value of all addresses under the current ONT ID before generating your OScore score. *You can press the “+” button to add assets under other addresses, but at present, it is not helpful to increase the borrowing limit of Wing. Subsequent versions will support this function.* *Users who only participate in Supply/ Insure aspect of the Inclusive Pool can skip this step.* ## 2. Make assets cross-chain operable Assets on the Ethereum chain need to be converted into pTokens across the chain before users can use them to participate in the supplying, borrowing and insuring of the Inclusive Pool. **Step 1: Approve (required for the first time cross-chain activities)** ![Image for post](https://miro.medium.com/max/2526/1*Mz2EMhY8VghjamnnsPjnPg.png) Open ONTO, click “Market” in the bottom sidebar to enter the Market page, and select the asset type you want to exchange. Take converting ETH to pETH as an example (see pictures). Input the number of ETH you want to exchange in the input box, click the “Approve” button below, enter the wallet password in the pop-up window, and click the arrow below to confirm. ETH is used to pay service fees required to cross chains from the Ethereum chain to the Ontology chain. Click the “Swap Now” button below, confirm the exchange information again in the pop-up window, click the “Confirm” button, then input the wallet password in the pop-up window and click the arrow below to confirm. You can check the converted asset on the Asset page after the process is completed. Reversing the cross-chain process only requires exchanging asset types between From and To. You can then go back to the asset page and view it. The balance of the pToken account is on the right side of the line where pToken is located. *You can check asset types of Hash that can be used at Wing on the* [*Docs*](https://docs.wing.finance/) *page of Wing’s official website.* ## 3. Borrow from the Inclusive Pool Borrow refers to borrowing assets and repayment before the due date. Through the process, WING incentives can be obtained, but interest needs to be paid. Interest paid via the same asset type of the loan is shown as APR while the obtained incentives are WING, shown as WING APY. Each operation requires ONG for service fees. The credit limit of a single user is 20–1,000 USDT. Users can borrow again after repayment. Assets can be borrowed at most once every 24 hours starting at 00:00 UTC. The value of the borrowed assets can not exceed the maximum borrowing amount. The term is 7 days (UTC time) and the loan can be repaid in advance. If repayment is overdue for more than 1 day after the grace period (UTC time), the assets will be liquidated. The defaulting user will then be listed in OScore’s private-protected default list, which will affect subsequent asset borrowing. Please repay the borrowed assets before the due date after fully understanding the borrowing rules. ### 3.1 Collateral and Borrowing Assets **Step 1: KYC certification** Since the Inclusive Pool is a non-sufficient lending pool based on credit factors, KYC authentication is required to obtain a borrowing authority for participating in borrowing. Then you can see the information related to borrowing authority under “My Dashboard”, and the button is updated to “Update”. At the same time, the “Borrow Limit”, that is, the maximum amount of assets you can borrow is also updated. *The validity period of the borrowing authority is 24 hours. Take borrowing pUSDT as an example, click the “Detail” button under pUSDT, enter the detailed page of pUSDT, click the “Borrow” button, and select the asset type for collateral under the “Collateral” column. The type of asset used as collateral cannot be the same as the asset type of the loan. Please ensure that the number of collateral assets in the wallet is sufficient. Here we will use pDAI as collateral. In the input box below, enter the amount to be borrowed. *The amount of assets to be borrowed cannot exceed the maximum amount of assets that can be borrowed*. The required amount of collateral assets will be automatically calculated according to the desired amount to be borrowed. If the value of “Used as Collateral” is A, and “Wallet Balance” is “B”, it is necessary to adjust the amount of assets to be borrowed so that A ≤ B. Click the “borrow” button. After confirming the information, click the arrow below. After inputting the wallet password, click the arrow below again to confirm. You can view the Wing incentive of this borrowing under the “Wing Earned” column. *When the borrower repays before the due date, the wing incentive will be withdrawn to the address along with the repayment. After confirming the information, click the arrow below. After inputting the wallet password, click the arrow below again to confirm, then the repayment is successful. If repayment is done before the end of the due date, the amount of collateral and Wing incentive will be synchronously transferred to the balance of the wallet. If repayment is done before the end of the grace period, then the amount of collateral will be synchronously transferred to the balance of the wallet. *The interest of the Inclusive Pool is calculated by day (UTC time) without compound interest. Partial repayment will be paid for interest first, and the interest is calculated according to the remaining principal after partial repayment.* ## 4. Supplying in the Inclusive Pool Supply means lending assets. By doing so, users can obtain interest and Wing incentives of the lent asset. The asset type of interest obtained is the same as the lent asset. The obtained WING incentive is WING. The annualized rate of return is displayed as APY and WING APY respectively. Each operation requires ONG to be paid as a transaction fee. In the event of liquidation, the lender will also suffer a certain proportion of losses, which may lead to the loss of the lent assets. Take pDAI as an example, click the “Detail” button below the pDAI to enter the asset detailed page of pDAI, and click the “Supply” button” under “Your Position” in the “Supply” area. Input the amount of assets to be lent in the pop-up window, or click the “Max” button to lend all, and click the “Supply” button. After confirming the information, click the arrow below, enter the wallet password, and then click the arrow head below again to confirm. After completion, the loan is successful. *The upper limit of the total number of lendable assets (the sum of the number of pDAI*，*pUSDT*，*and pUSDC) participating in the inclusive pool is 500,000, that is after the number of lendable assets reaches 500,000, users cannot lend again.* ![Image for post](https://miro.medium.com/max/474/1*lqL7LkifPZfGoDcpVwapZQ.png) After the lending is successful, you can see that there is the pDAI just lent out in the “Supply” area under “Your Position”. After confirming the information, click the arrow below. After inputting the password of the wallet, click the arrow below again to confirm. After completion, the withdrawal is successful. ## 5. Insuring in the Inclusive Pool In addition to participating in borrowing and supplying, you can also obtain WING incentives by insuring WING. In the event of liquidation, the insured party will pay a certain proportion of the losses to the lender, which will lead to the loss of the insured assets; each insured asset will be locked for 72 hours, and the insurance can be withdrawn after 72 hours. After understanding the warnings, click the “I understand the risks and wish to proceed” button to confirm (required for the first time of insurance). After confirming the information, click the arrow below, enter the wallet password, and then click the arrow below again to confirm. After confirming the information, click the arrow below, enter the wallet passcode, and then click the arrow again to confirm. After completion, the surrender is successful. ## 6. Withdraw Wing tokens obtained through incentives Participating in the borrowing, supplying, and insuring of the Inclusive Pool can get you WING incentives. WING and ONG are eligible for direct supplying, borrowing and insuring, without any swap actions. ### Swapping Ethereum Assets to pToken The Flash Pool only supports supplying, borrowing and insuring in cross-chain pTokens. Click “Swap Now” to confirm the swap in the popup window, input your wallet password in the popup window and click “Swap Now” again to complete the swap. The interest is paid in the same type of asset the user chose to borrow, while incentives for the borrowers is earned in WING. The interest rate and WING incentive rate are displayed as APR and WING APY. Every action costs users a certain amount of ONG as the transaction fee. Before borrowing assets from the Flash Pool, users need to first supply and collateralize assets. Note that one address cannot borrow and supply the same type of assets at the same time. ### Borrowing Assets **Step 1: Turning on / off the Collateral Switch** ![Image for post](https://miro.medium.com/max/1346/1*7Z12r_EyFeWz2s7Rs-QlCA.png) If you want to borrow assets from Flash Pool, the first step is to secure a certain amount of other assets. For the purpose of this guide, we are securing pWBTC to borrow pUSDC as an example. To start the process, simply toggle the switch under “Collateral” in the pWBTC line under “All Markets”. Next, click “Enable pWBTC As Collateral” in the pop-up window, click the arrow button after confirming the information, input your wallet password and click the arrow button again to confirm. If you want to turn off the “Collateral” switch, just toggle the switch under “Collateral” again. Click the arrow button after confirming the information, input the wallet password, and click the arrow button again to confirm. First, click the “Borrow” area in the pUSDC line. Input the amount of pUSDC you want to borrow. You can then see the proportion of borrowed pUSDC in your total borrow limit under the field of “Borrow Limit Reached”, or you can click “SAFE MAX” to borrow 80% of your borrow limit. If you want to earn WING incentives through borrowing in the Flash Pool, you need to transfer enough WING to your address before borrowing. Tick the box to lock 3% of WING tokens in your address in the popup window. The number of WING locked will automatically display at the A spot in the picture above, and the WING balance of the address will show at the B spot. Only when A≤B will the lock considered complete. If you do not tick the box to agree locking 3% of WING tokens in your address, you will not earn WING incentives through borrowing assets in the Flash Pool. Next, click “Borrow” to confirm the information & input your wallet password before clicking the arrow button again to confirm. Remember to pay attention to the proportion listed under “Borrow Limit,” under “My Dashboard” after successfully borrowing. When the proportion reaches 100%, liquidation will occur. Click any random area in the pUSDC line under “Currently Borrowed”. Select “REPAY” in the upper right corner to open a pop-up window. Input the amount of pUSDC desired for repayment and click “REPAY”. Or, you can click “MAX” on the right of the input field to have the principal and interest automatically displayed. Click the arrow button within ONTO and input your wallet password before clicking the arrow button again to confirm. Once completed, you have successfully repaid the assets you borrowed. You may see a slight difference between the amount displayed under “Liquidity” and the amount you have actually withdrawn. That’s because the interest is calculated in real-time. The displayed amount only equals the amount you have actually withdrawn when you click “MAX” to withdraw both the principal and the interests. ## How to Insure Assets in Flash Pool Apart from using your pToken in borrowing and crediting, you can also put your pToken in the Insurance Pool to earn WING tokens. An address can only insure Wing in the Flash Pool if the address isn’t supplying or borrowing WING in Flash Pool. That is to say, if you have used one address to supply or borrow WING in the Flash Pool, you can no longer insure WING. It should be noted that in the case of a severe breach committed by a borrower or creditor, the Insurance Pool will pay part of the loss to the Supply Pool. This will result in a certain loss assets from the Insurance Pool. You should also understand that each pToken deposit in the Insurance Pool will be locked for 72 hours, after which it will be available for withdrawal. Then click the arrow button within ONTO and input your wallet password before clicking the arrow button again to confirm. Once completed, you have successfully surrendered the WING you insured. ## How to Liquidate Assets A borrower’s collateral will be liquidated when the assets he or she borrowed reaches the borrower’s limit. Select any account address whose Borrow Limit Reached exceeds 100%. Information under “Debt to Cover” indicates the type and amount of tokens the breached user needs to liquidate. Input the amount of debt you wish to pay for the breached user, and the number of collateral you’ll receive for this liquidation will be shown under the “You will receive” field. Next, click the arrow button within ONTO and input your wallet password before clicking the arrow button again to confirm. Once completed, the new collateral can be withdrawn to your ONTO Wallet. Once completed, the collateral you acquired from liquidation will be displayed under “Current Supply”, and its interest calculation will start. ## Withdrawing WING Incentives You can earn WING incentives by supplying, borrowing or insuring WING in Flash pool. In most occasions, you do not need to withdraw WING to your address, as the WING incentives you earned previously will be automatically withdrawn to your address every time you supply, withdraw, borrow, repay, insure or withdraw the WING insured.
