# Single- and Multi-chain Wallets

## Single chain wallets

These are wallets that only support the assets on one particular chain. They are generally developed specifically for a public chain. For example, Bitcoin wallets generated using Bitcoin Core and Ethereum wallets generated using Metamask.

## Multi-chain wallets

These are wallets that support assets from multiple public chains and can be managed using one mnemonic phrase or keystore. For example, wallets generated using Cobo and ONTO wallets.
